Meat free is the way to be over at Novapizza Vegetarian Kitchen, a restaurant that’s become a huge hit with Edinburgh’s veggie-loving crowd. But it’s not just the herbivores who are raving about this beloved pizza restaurant – Novapizza Vegetarian Kitchen also caters to the city’s pizza lovers and italophiles on the hunt for authentic cuisine. Open every day of the week except Tuesday, the restaurant can be found right in the heart of the New Town, not far from Carlton Hill and all the attractions the city centre has to offer. Novapizza offers incredible pizzas with toppings like vegetarian pepperoni, mozzarella, vegetarian mince and all the veggies you could ever dream of. Plus, the restaurant offers a separate fully vegan menu for those who avoid animal products altogether. There are great desserts too, so stop by this friendly restaurant for a meat-free feast for the history books.
There’s a really good selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes, much broader then most places we have been to. We had the garlic bread to start which was delicious followed by a vegetable pizza and pepperoni calzone both of which were really good. The service and the atmosphere were both great, we would recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Edinburgh.
Good attentive service, excellent selection of pizza and more than enough choice for a non-vegetarian such as myself. My wife (who is vegetarian) really enjoyed being able to choose from the whole menu – especially a calzone which rarely if ever appears as a vegetarian option ay mainstream restaurants. Both our calzone were excellent. Good base, good sauce and brimful of filling.
Excellent all round. Great food, lovely atmosphere (there are only a few tables so defintely worth booking), very helpful staff, and great value. The blue cheese and mushroom pasta was exquisite.
